The short version: the app analyzes your disk and uses AI on your Mac. Your files, your folder names and what the app finds are never sent to any server, and the app has no analytics or tracking. The website counts visits anonymously, without cookies.
Controller
DiskSpaceAI. Email: hello@diskspaceai.com.
What data we process and why
- Website visits. With Vercel Web Analytics we count, in aggregate, which pages are viewed, from which country, with which browser and device, and which site you came from. It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser; to avoid counting a visit twice, Vercel uses an identifier derived from the request that's discarded every day, without storing your IP. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing what works on the website.
- Waitlist. Your email, the date, the language, which part of the page you signed up from and your approximate country (inferred by Vercel from your connection; we don't store your IP). It's used to email you once when the beta opens and to save you the launch price. Legal basis: your consent. We keep it until launch plus 12 months, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Purchase. Handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record: they process your name, email, country and payment details, and issue the invoice. We receive your name, email and order to give you support. Legal basis: the contract.
- License. When you activate Pro, the app sends Lemon Squeezy your license key and your Mac's name (so you can see which computers it's active on), and checks it from time to time. Legal basis: the contract.
- Support. Whatever you email us, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in helping you.
- Updates. The app checks diskspaceai.com from time to time for a new version (you can turn this off in Settings). Like any website visit, Vercel sees the IP address and the app version in that request; nothing from your disk is sent.
- AI agents (optional). If you connect DiskSpace AI to an agent such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Codex, the app answers it on your Mac. If that agent uses a cloud model, that service sees what the app returns to it (folder names, paths and sizes, never the contents of your files), under its own privacy policy. We receive nothing.
Who we share it with
Only the providers we need, acting on our behalf or as independent controllers: Vercel (website hosting and visit statistics), Upstash (waitlist database) and Lemon Squeezy (payments and licenses). Some are in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We don't sell your data.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@diskspaceai.com. If you think we haven't handled it properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.
Cookies
We don't use our own or analytics cookies. See the cookie policy.
